Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Neudesic.
Senior Consultant
Had a good discussion with the technical interviewer about .Net. They also gave me some real-time feedback on areas for improvement. Then, there was a coding round where I had to solve a basic problem statement and build a web API application for it. Overall, it was a positive experience and I enjoyed the interview process.
- Can you explain what a design pattern is?
Principal Consultant
Had a screening call with the recruiter, then two video interviews, one with another Principal Consultant and one with the Director. Had to reschedule the video interviews twice, even though I picked times from their provided options. The interviews were pretty chill and conversational, not super technical, mostly about my experience, past projects, and what I'm seeking. I thought I'd get an offer or move forward. The recruiter texted me with the rejection, saying feedback was good but others were 'further along.' I asked if it was about my skills or experience, but they said no, just that others were ahead. After two weeks of back-and-forth, rescheduling, and doing the interviews well, I was passed over because they likely already gave offers to others and were just using me to fill out the process. Seemed like a power play to see how much I'd jump through.
- Tell me about your current work and projects.
- Can you detail your Azure experience and current Azure-focused work?
- What are your expectations for your next position?
Senior Consultant
The recruiter called me to discuss an opening in the App Innovation department for .Net skills. They mentioned their policy is not to ask for current CTC but inquired about my expected CTC. Following that, I successfully completed the subsequent interviews: a Coding Test, Technical Interview 1, Technical Interview 2, and a Project Manager Round. After all interviews, I was waiting for an update, and a few days later, I was told they could only offer the same CTC as my current organization. This was surprising and disappointing, given the time and effort invested by both sides. I would have understood a rejection during the interviews, but this outcome made me think they should have communicated their budget limitations to management before the interview process began, instead of waiting until the end.
- Can you discuss your experience with .NET Core?
- Tell me about your experience with Azure.
- What is your experience with Angular versions 2 and above?
