Regulatory Scientific Lead
A recruiter from NP contacted me in June about a remote contract role. I had an initial call with 'talent recruitment' and then a 'technical' interview with a senior Regulatory staff member. They mentioned NP was exploring several Statements of Work (SOWs) with a large client but the process was slow and the SOWs weren't signed yet. I was interested in a CER writer SOW. After two months, they informed me the only available SOW was for a Device Remediation project (6+ months), not a CER writer role. In August, I got another job offer, so I told NP. They quickly extended an offer, even without a signed SOW from the client. Upon reviewing the employment contract, I noticed several legally questionable clauses. I asked about negotiating the terms with the CEO, who said 'yes'. I proposed a higher rate, a shorter non-compete period, and more PTO, but all requests were denied. I hired an employment attorney who identified multiple illegal or unenforceable aspects, including a two-year restriction on future employment outside NP (a non-compete). I submitted the attorney's redlined contract to NP. Two days later, they stated they wouldn't negotiate and had offered the job to someone else. After three months of waiting for NP to finalize negotiations and secure a signed SOW, and having turned down another job, I'm left with legal fees and no position. As an experienced RA consultant, I intend to share this experience widely. If you're considering this firm as a contractor or employee, avoid them. They are unethical and don't engage with consultants fairly.

Senior Consultant
The interview process was quite fast. The company mentioned they didn't have much experience in the pharma sector, which was the focus of the hiring. It was really clear that their expectations didn't align with their actual experience – they're more of a behind-the-scenes operation and not accustomed to dealing with the client-facing aspects of a pharma company. The mismatch was pretty significant.
- What are your strategies for handling compliance issues?
Quality Engineer
This interview process was chaotic and unorganized, lacking in detail and structure. Looking back, I should have taken the red flags more seriously and declined the offer. The only positive aspect was meeting some good people who worked as individual consultants. I've completely distanced myself from most of the employees, especially management and executive management, as they lacked inspiration, truthfulness, and good character.
- I wish they would have asked how I would prefer a poor culture environment.
Regulatory Affairs Associate
The recruiter was very easy to work with and supportive throughout the process. The technical interviews were conducted by professionals who clearly knew their stuff. Overall, it was a positive experience, and they were upfront about what was happening during the interview.
- Could you tell me about your experience in the RA/QA field?
