Recruiter reached out about the job and passed my resume along. First, I had a phone chat, then an in-person interview. They made me an offer less than two days after the in-person one. The questions they asked were pretty standard for the role. It seemed like I had the skills, but the hiring manager focused on whether I'd be a good personal fit, which was a bit odd for a contract gig. By the end, the interviewer and I clicked, and we even shared some personal stories.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I met with two trainers and the President, David. The first trainer got to know me, asked about my hobbies, and explained the duties of a technical sourcer. The second person was really thorough, reviewing my resume to understand my motivations and career path. They also screened my technical background to ensure I'd be comfortable learning more about technology. Talking with David was intimidating at first, but I presented myself confidently, showing my excitement for entering a new field. He then shared the company's history and business model, which was very insightful about the growth in the tech staffing industry.

I talked to a recruiter who was nice. She spoke highly of the job at the customer site and described the duties. She was positive and direct. She said she'd get back to me early the following week after sending my information to the customer. The next week passed and I heard nothing. At the end of the week, I called her to follow up. Her response was, "Oh, you're probably wondering about the position... well, they hired someone else. BUT, keep checking our site and email me if you see anything you like."

So, a Human Resource Lady named Cathleen will likely give you a call to talk about Mark T (who is apparently a great mentor and instructor for the class). She'll mention the class dates and times, but not much else. After that, you'll just have to wait to hear back from her for the actual phone interview.
