Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Netomi.
Software Development Engineer
The interview included 3 technical rounds and an HR round. Questions covered DSA at an easy/medium level, operating systems (multiprocessing and multitasking), and database management systems (SQL and NoSQL). They also asked about my past work experience and current responsibilities.
- Can you solve easy DSA problems?
- How would you remove duplicates from a sorted array?
- How do you search in a sorted matrix?
Software Engineer
The interview process was quite good, and I made it all the way to the leadership round. However, after that, there was no feedback from the HR team. Initially, I tried following up via email but didn't receive any response. When I finally called the HR, she told me that "The feedback is neither negative nor very positive, and also you have to serve your full notice period, so we have other interviews lined up." I'm not sure - if the feedback wasn't positive, then how did I manage to reach the leadership round? Also, the HR was aware of my notice period from the beginning itself. In total, I had gone through 5 rounds of interviews. It ended up being a complete waste of time for both the interviewers and me as a candidate.
- 3 DSA questions were asked in the first round.
- LLD was asked in the second round.
- LLD and HLD were asked in the 3rd round.
Software Engineer Intern
The interview process had three rounds. Round 1 was mainly Problem Solving where I was asked two questions, one about DNF algorithm and another about Segment tree. I was also asked about my side/weekend projects. Round 2 was about puzzles, and the interviewer was very interactive and helpful. They asked about my projects and then puzzles. It was a great round. Round 3 was an HR round, which was very good and the HR team at Netomi is really supportive.
- Can you arrange balls of white, red, and blue colors randomly so that balls of the same color end up next to each other?
