It was a remote panel interview. They asked questions about basic networking, Active Directory, and cloud environments. Make sure to mention any certifications you have. The interview process has gotten better, allowing you to explain your answer with a practical test if you don't know the immediate answer.

The interview process was really thorough, with conversations involving lots of different people on the team, from Project Managers all the way up to the VP, and others in between. As you'd expect, we talked about background, technical knowledge, management approach, and other things that would show if someone's a good fit for the role.

I had four interviews over a month, with the last one being the final interview. The recruiter just set up times for me to talk to people, and I didn't get any feedback after any of the interviews. The people I interviewed with were nice and easy to talk to. But then after the fourth interview, I thought I'd get an offer, but got a three-sentence auto-email from HR saying they chose other candidates who were more qualified. It's weird because a new job posting for the same role and location went up right after I was rejected. So, it doesn't seem like they had other more qualified candidates.

It was mostly a positive interview experience. I had an HR screen and then a hiring manager interview within 72 hours. I was later informed that they put the position on hold and planned to reopen it. However, after a really good panel interview, I was ghosted for 2.5 weeks and then got a generic rejection email. The whole experience started out positive but ended up feeling impersonal and soured the entire thing.
