Took around 6 months from my first application to finally getting the first interview. The phone screen was pleasant and felt like it went well, but they seemed really focused on my current salary, which, even though they said otherwise, clearly threw the recruiter. I can only guess my salary was outside their range, or they were just fishing to figure out what their range should be. They said I’d hear back the next day, but I didn’t get any response (even after chasing) for another 6 weeks!

Applied online and then had a phone screen. I'm not sure if the recruiter didnt want to say exactly why I "wasn't a good fit" but they said it was a language skill issue, that the role needed a french speaker. I'm leaving a negative review because clearly that was not true, a quick linkedin search showed they hired someone who does not speak french. For a big corporation like Netflix to lie like that, it's pretty weak.

Long process but handled in a friendly and efficient way. The interviews were on Zoom and felt more like conversations rather than lots of formal questions. Some of them were with several people at once. I asked a lot about the culture but still didn’t feel I completely understood how things worked at Netflix.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • They asked about my past experience but overall the interviews were more like casual conversations than a series of formal questions.
