First I had a phone call with the recruiter, it was pretty chill and conversational. Then I talked to the director of sales, that call was more serious. They asked a lot about my sales mindset and how I'd approach the internship. It's super important to have questions ready to ask them.

So I had 3 individual talks with people at Netapp, talking about my past experiences, why I want this job, and how I approach making cold calls. They told me I'd go to North Carolina for 3 months to learn sales. A week after they said I'd get an offer, they contacted me again saying they wanted to re-do the interviews because they felt it was too quick. I thought I had an offer, but then they said it wasn't going to happen.

  • What's your sales background?
