Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NetApp.
Financial Analyst
Recruiter reached out and set up a screening interview, which they then conducted. I was really impressed that they called me back and let me know the hiring manager didn't select me. It's great to actually get a response.
- What are your salary expectations?
Financial Analyst
I went through 5 rounds of interviews for this role, but in the end, they told me the position was being eliminated because they were looking for someone with more experience. Based on other reviews, it seems like this kind of thing happens often, so I wouldn't recommend wasting your time on their interview process. It's a bummer because the interviewers were great people, but NetApp's internal procedures and leadership are not up to par.
- Tell me about your experience with standard behavioral questions and scenarios.
Financial Analyst
I got a call shortly after I submitted my resume via my school's career center website. The only interview I had was on their campus in Sunnyvale. It was with three people: two recent hires and two Senior Managers. All interviews were pretty relaxed and just went over my experience and resume. Everyone was super nice, so it wasn't scary at all. I heard back about two weeks after the interviews and they said I didn't get the job.
- What makes you want to work in Finance instead of Accounting?
