I arrived for my interview on time. The staff greeted me, and the manager introduced himself and then had me sit at a table. He went over the job duties, work hours, and what's expected. Then he started asking me interview questions.

The manager called me after I sent her an email about the online job posting. We met the same day. She told me about the role and asked me some customer service questions. She asked if I had my identity documents, which I did. She offered me the job on the spot and I started the next day.

I had an interview scheduled with the CEO. When I got to the office, it was empty, no receptionist. The CEO's assistant eventually showed up, seemed unsure why I was there but then confirmed the meeting on her calendar. The CEO wasn't there; he was at a doctor's appointment. She said he had left me a voicemail (my phone was off) apologizing and saying he'd reschedule. I never heard back from anyone via call or email. It's been months now. Lots of negative employee reviews, so be careful.

Behavioral Technical Other

This was the worst interview experience ever. The interviewer clearly doesn't know how to interview and showed a lack of respect, especially towards women. The woman reporting to him had to constantly feed him information and help him understand basic concepts like 'right brain' and 'left brain'. He asked really basic and irrelevant questions that had nothing to do with my ability to do the job. He repeatedly cut me off mid-sentence when I was answering his questions, which made me realize I didn't want the job. He then went through my entire work history, questioning why I had contract roles and showing no understanding of the trend towards contract hiring. He also strangely asked for my college graduation year, implying age discrimination. It was obvious he hadn't reviewed my resume beforehand. When I tried to ask my own questions, he cut me off again and asked if I had any more, seeming eager to end the interview. The dynamic with the other interviewer was also uncomfortable, with her seeming very submissive to him. I definitely wouldn't want to work for someone like that.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • What was my monthly salary?
  • Can you explain why I held several contract positions instead of full-time employment?
  • What year did I graduate from college?
