First, there was an initial HR call to get to know you and see if you align with the company values. You'll introduce yourself during this call, which is about 45 minutes and pretty easy to talk through. It involves behavioural questions. After that, I had a technical interview.

It was a screening interview where we talked about my job experience, I gave examples of past work, and they assessed my years of experience. They also laid out the rest of the interview process and how long it usually takes to hear back. The first interview itself was easy, but the job position was canceled after that.

Started with a quick intro call with someone from Talent, just to screen me. They asked some basic stuff like pay expectations (which they were super upfront about, thought that was cool), explained the whole interview process, talked about the role, and asked about my background. Then, I had an interview with the marketing hiring team. It was standard behavioral questions, plus some digging into my past work. Next up was a case study. I'm not a huge fan of doing free work, but it was a decent way to gauge genuine interest in the brand. The marketing team, an HR person, and someone from sales were there. Got a verbal offer after, and the contract came through once we ironed out the compensation details.

A recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn, really interested in my background because I had prior experience with the product class they sell. They wanted to do a video interview ASAP, same day or next day, and were super excited about me. I chose the next day. Then, I had a video call with the hiring manager on Teams, but their camera was off, which was weird since I dressed up for it. It's been a while since I worked in sales; I've mostly been in customer success, but still in biotech. The manager kept pushing me about sales rankings, and I had to keep explaining it's not a fair comparison to how success is measured in my current role. The recruiter seemed stuck on my current experience, even though I'd done this before. Honestly, the recruiter seemed way more into me and my background than the hiring manager. The manager couldn't ask good questions about my past product experience or my current biotech work. It felt like they just wanted to tick boxes and didn't value my history with the product or my current role. Overall, the process felt unprofessional and I got a lot of skepticism because of the questions they were asking. Again, the recruiter was hyped about my past experience with their product and competitors, but the hiring manager wasn't. I asked to withdraw because I felt the manager had zero interest in me or what I could bring.
