The interview process was challenging. They asked a lot of questions about your goals and your past achievements, looking for specific examples. It's important to keep your resume concise, but expand on your answers during the interview. The staff were friendly and responded kindly. Good luck!

Applied online and heard back from the recruiter fairly quickly. They asked some basic early questions like why I was job hunting and my interest in Nest. Then, two more sessions were set up: one with the hiring manager and a remote coding interview with a team member. After that, I was invited for an onsite interview where I met with about six people. Most questions were pretty standard, though the hiring manager asked some tougher ones. Overall, the interview process felt smooth and well-organized. Nothing caught me off guard, and everyone was really nice. The recruiter debriefed me after the onsite and mentioned positive feedback from most interviewers, saying they'd check with the remaining team members. I interviewed on Friday and got a call Monday afternoon with an offer to move forward. The offer itself took longer than the interview stages, about two weeks after providing references and completing a background check. I ultimately accepted another offer, but Nest did a good job with the recruitment and interviews, despite the slow offer process. Overall, a positive experience.

I had a 30 min initial chat with the recruiter, it was pretty basic and professional. After that call, I was told I'd meet the hiring manager next, and that was scheduled quickly. Then I had a 25 min phone call with the hiring manager (she was late), but it was a good conversation that was very situational about the role and the challenges they want to solve. After that, I went in for a full panel interview with about 7 people. Everyone was great and we had really comfortable conversations. I felt it went very well and was told the process would move forward in a few days. I didn't hear back until I found the recruiter weeks later by phone.

I applied through an internal recruiter after my internship at Google. My resume was looked at by the iOS team at Nest, and I got picked for an interview.
