So first there was this HR session that lasted about half an hour. After that, we moved on to a technical discussion which went on for about an hour. The technical part covered general testing concepts and also involved writing and understanding some simple Java functions. We also talked about boundary testing, unit testing, integration testing, and positive/negative testing.

I was contacted by a recruiter from a third-party staffing agency. There were three interview rounds in total: two technical interviews and one HR interview. The first two rounds were conducted via Microsoft Teams video calls. The first round was with someone I believe was a Sr. QA, and it lasted about 30 minutes. They asked questions about basic Selenium, OOPS concepts, Java basics, and TestNG basics. I found out if I passed by the end of the day and was scheduled for the second round the very next day. The second round was with a Sr. Technical Architect and lasted around 20 minutes. The questions were focused on my past experience, general automation, and Java concepts. About two hours later, I learned I had advanced. A few days after that, the company's HR called me for a 10-15 minute phone interview where they asked general HR questions. After that, the recruiter reached out about a week later to ask for some documents, and then the offer letter was sent.

The hiring process was quite disorganized. Initially, there were issues scheduling the interview directly, as they relied on third-party recruiters. After the first technical round with two interviewers, I was told I'd passed and that there would be a second round with the Project Manager. However, the next day, they changed the plan and asked me to come to their office for a technical round via Skype with their client, Ness Technologies, requiring original documents. I expressed reluctance to interview at the third-party office instead of the client's, so Ness HR contacted me to schedule an interview directly with the Ness team at their Bangalore office. This turned out to be a 1-hour technical round, not a PM round. After passing this, HR mentioned a customer round from the USA but first requested all my documents for an HR round. I sent scanned copies, and then had a call with HR to discuss salary and other HR-related matters. They promised an offer letter the next day, but I didn't receive it. I emailed HR for an update, but received no response from the Ness team, highlighting their poor HR process.
