First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ness Digital Engineering.
Technical Lead
I went through a third-party recruiter for the first round, which was supposed to be 30 minutes. However, the interviewer ran out of questions after about 20 minutes. Despite answering everything well, I never heard back.
- Can you implement merge sort and provide the complete code?
Software Engineer
It was a pretty standard interview process. I had some questions about Python fundamentals and unit testing. The interviewer was super nice and patient. They asked me about my experience with Flask, pytest, MongoDB, psql, Postman, and REST APIs, and other things from my resume. Also got asked about some Linux commands, CI/CD, and S3 buckets. There was this one question that really stood out: imagine it's the final day of regression testing and you discover a bug where the 'add to cart' button duplicates the item when a user tries to add it. They wanted to know who I'd contact first, my plan of action, and the justification for choosing that specific person.
- Questions about the basics of Python were asked.
- Questions about unit testing were asked.
- Questions concerning the Flask web framework were asked.
Software Engineer
The hiring process involves a technical interview, a discussion with the hiring manager, and an HR discussion. Depending on the specific role, there might be additional conversations, and sometimes a client interview is also part of the process.
- Can you explain Angular router?
- What are Decorative elements?
- Tell me about OOPS concepts.
