So I went through 2 rounds. The first one was technical, covering Java and Spring Boot basics. I did well there. The second round was supposed to be managerial, but it turned out to be technical again, focusing on projects and recent tech. The interviewer seemed a bit lost, asking random things, even about greenfield vs. brownfield without really getting it. I explained my Microservices code and SAGA patterns. Afterwards, HR said I was practically in but would wait for confirmation. Two days later, HR called back saying I wasn't selected due to technical abilities, which is weird since I have other offers. It makes you wonder what's really going on there.

I applied as a fresher. There were 2 technical rounds. The 1st round was totally technical, focusing on basic Java concepts. Honestly, no one really cares if you give a long, interesting answer to 'Tell me about yourself' as a fresher; just a few sentences is enough, otherwise it gets boring. The 2nd round was with a manager or architect or team lead (usually a manager), who asked some technical questions and checked if I knew any additional frameworks. One thing I found annoying was that they might check if you live nearby or if you're okay with working late nights. I interview people myself, and many talented candidates I've selected have been rejected for these reasons in the 2nd round.

First round was a telephonic interview with two interviewers. The second round was a Skype interview with three interviewers. They seemed inexperienced and were looking up questions on Google before asking. They weren't very professional and seemed to be having fun. I eventually ended the call after 45 minutes because I felt it was a waste of my time.
