Had two interviews. The position was new when I interviewed, but they didn't tell me it was still in the pilot stage. The job duties changed a lot.

I had an initial phone screen with the recruiter, followed by a Zoom interview with several managers and team members. It seemed like a standard interview process. However, I was ghosted for about two weeks after the Zoom interview. Eventually, I was told I wasn't moving forward because they preferred a local candidate, even though the job was advertised as remote. It would have been better if the job post had clearly stated it was on-site or hybrid if they were prioritizing local candidates. Frankly, it felt like a waste of everyone's time.

It was a phone interview, felt friendly and quick, like they really cared and wanted to put me at ease. They went over my resume and asked about my preferences for the job, like what days and times work for me and if I prefer a remote position or working on-site.
