I got referred by someone and submitted my resume. A few days later, the lead recruiter called and said I'd need to do a homework assignment and send it back within a week. After I sent it in, they said it was really well done. Then, I had a phone interview with a team member. The interview was mostly about my homework, checking my critical thinking and the choices I made in my analysis. The interviewer asked a lot of detailed questions about my response and kept pushing into weird scenarios related to the case. It wasn't a great experience, and it left a bad impression. I checked Glassdoor beforehand and was surprised by the negative reviews about company culture and how they interview. It's not good, especially for a young, fast-moving company. I guess the one good thing is I avoided working here.

I applied online and spoke with a recruiter. Next, I had to complete a homework assignment. They told me I did great on the assignment and I'd have another round: a 1-hour phone interview with a team member to go over my homework. I felt the homework was a lot since I hadn't talked to anyone on the team yet. The instructions were unclear and had a typo. During the phone interview, the team member asked questions that were basically already in my assignment. After that, I got a standard email saying they had a lot of talented people applying and couldn't find a match for my skills right now. This was surprising since I used to work in Business Operations at a big tech company with more responsibilities. I'm disappointed given how much time I spent preparing and doing the homework.

The entire interview process wrapped up in 3 weeks. It kicked off with an HR call, followed by two rounds of case discussions. The final stage was an all-day event at the office, which included a case study and meetings with team members. The vibe was pretty chill and conversational, they were mostly interested in understanding my thought process.
