The interview wasn't very technical. It started with a phone call, and then I was invited onsite to interview with the team. The development office was small, dark, and cramped. I was told that after three failed software projects, they needed to hire an onsite team lead to completely reinvent CRM and Inventory Management for their industry with their brand new software division. It's clear they don't understand how software development companies operate or how to inspire developers. Just shoving a bunch of newbies into a dark corner won't work.

Behavioral

It was pretty straightforward. I scheduled the interview via email and the person I spoke with was easy to work with. They went over the job description, work schedule, and my manager's name. They had set days and times for interviews. They told me what to wear (business casual) and I had to fill out an online application, even though they still asked me to bring a resume. I was greeted at the front desk and had to wait a few minutes before meeting the regional manager. It was a straightforward interview. He chatted a bit to break the ice and get to know me. After the interview, they said they'd make a hiring decision in a few days. They offered me the position two days after the interview. Onboarding was quick, and I started training the next week.

Behavioral Group Presentation

This was the most awkward interview experience. They aren't upfront about what to expect in the interview process or what the job entails. This is a door-to-door position that is only commission based and you have to carpool to the work location everyday. The gentleman that interviewed my group seems like he hasn't interviewed many people, which made it an awkward experience.

Behavioral Other

It was a pretty chill interview. They hit me with a couple of behavioral questions, but then it turned into more of a chat about the company, what the job entails, and just basic stuff like if I had any time conflicts or when I'd be available.
