The process went well, and the interviewers were professional, clear, and made me feel comfortable. One area for improvement could be greater transparency regarding the timelines and the necessary steps.

- Prepare for basic logic, econometrics, and microeconomics questions at an easy level for the online test.
- For the Stata part, be ready to import Excel data and clean datasets. For the interview, be prepared to discuss competition-related issues, the underlying theory, and the relevant econometric techniques, as it depends on the interviewer.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. The first round was with an RA, and the second and final round had about five people interviewing me, ranging from RAs to economists. If you're doing research with an economist in undergrad, make sure you have an 'elevator pitch' ready about the project's background and know the technical details. Each interviewer asked about a different part of my resume, like my role as club president, my research, majors, and courses. I think for econ consulting interviews, it's important to have an economic concept (like Pareto efficiency) that you can explain if they ask about something related to your coursework. The interviewers were really nice and seemed genuinely interested in my background.

The interview experience started with a chill behavioral round with an analyst. Then, a recruiter contacted me about my location preferences. After submitting this, my application was sent to the office for review. For my US application, it took months to hear back, which was really poor communication. I didn't reach the final round. I applied twice, both times in late August, and was rejected in late November/early December. It's best to apply for other jobs while waiting.
