Apt Setter
First there was a phone interview, and then they asked me to come in for an in-person interview. The whole thing took about a week to 10 days. They asked if I was used to using CRM systems like Salesforce, making lots of calls with an automatic dialer, sending follow-up emails, and handling many phone calls daily.
- Can you tell me about your sales experience, and have you used CRM systems such as Salesforce?
- Are you comfortable with making phone calls daily, especially using an automatic dialer and sending follow-up emails?
Office Manager
I sent in my application online and got an email from a recruiter. After we talked and she explained the job, she suggested I check out the company more and set up a phone chat with the hiring manager. The hiring manager and I had a good conversation; she seemed really interested in making sure the role was a good fit for both of us. Since I was making a big career change after 12 years at my last company, I had a lot of questions about the industry. She was patient and shared her own experience with the company, which really helped me feel comfortable about the transition. It felt like they saw me as more than just another applicant. We also did a Skype interview for the second round because of travel limitations. She let me know when I could expect to hear back, and within a few days, I got the job offer!
- How would my current skills transfer into this role?
Sales Manager
This interview process was ridiculous!! The job listing on CareerBuilder stated the position offered a BASE pay of $70 - $120,000/year. However, during the HR phone interview, I was told it paid $70 - $80,000 as a BASE salary plus commission, with the potential to earn over $100k. None of this is true!! The company has a "declining base" pay for 4 months, which amounts to $7.81 an hour (at 40 hours per week), and then ZERO base pay after 4 months! Essentially, you are 100% commission only from day one, on top of that measly base pay. Furthermore, they expect you to cover the entire state but provide NO mileage reimbursement! On top of that, you're expected to recruit, hire, train, and mentor a sales team from scratch, meaning you won't have any commission from overrides from your downline when you start. It was a total waste of time! It might be suitable for someone right out of High School with no education... completely entry level!
- Can you tell me what you know about Neptune?
Pre Arrangement Counselor
I had 3 different interviews with managers, two were remote and one was in person. The interviews started with why I wanted to work there and included what I would bring to the table and benefit the office and company.
- Tell me about a challenging personal experience where you had to continue working and selling as if the issues weren't present.
