Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

So, I interviewed with Neovia Logistics for a Logistics Engineer role. It was pretty tough, a mix of good and bad. The hiring manager was great, super professional, and HR was on point with communication early on. The process itself had several stages: phone screens, some behavioral stuff, and then a big on-site. The on-site was intense – they hit me with a surprise stress interview, which was a lot, then a really big and complicated case study with tons of data that took forever. After all that, I had to do a final presentation. The hiring manager was there, but another person making the decision seemed totally checked out, which felt disrespectful. Honestly, it felt like they rejected me unfairly because the feedback before that was good, making the whole thing seem random. Also, that case study? It was a lot of work, and I'm kinda worried they'll just use my solution without giving credit. It was a long and stressful process overall, especially that unexpected stress interview and the final presentation. For anyone else applying, be ready for a long haul, don't expect your case study work to be protected, and just know that what they say in the early stages might not mean much by the end.

Behavioral Technical Case Group

So for the logistics manager role, we start with a quick chat with HR. Then, you'll dive into some technical and behavioral interviews. We might also give you a case study to work through about supply chain problems. The last parts are about seeing if you'd be a good fit with the team, and then we do reference checks before making an offer.

A new business line was added, and they needed licensed supervisors, licensed by the Board of Pharmacy for wholesale of medical devices/legend items. There were 2 interviews, the first was a brief phone call and the second was a 30-minute in-person meeting. They mostly asked about past experience. They attempted to start up with minimal DR staffing (only 2 total), which meant no vacations/sick time or any time off for at least 1 year from startup. There was no offer made. A year later, they contacted me again for another phone interview, as increased volume necessitated adding a third shift. Again, no offer was made, and the offered rate was below the market average. This is a limited availability license because most holders are currently employed elsewhere. There aren't many of us available on the open labor market.

Behavioral Presentation

I had an initial interview at the career fair, then a phone interview. After that, it was a traditional on-site interview where they flew me in the night before. There was a dinner with other students, and then a panel interview the next day. With everyone I spoke to, it was all about the S.T.A.R. Method. They corrected me when I didn't answer questions in that format and I could tell they were organizing and ranking their notes on each part of the method. All of the questions were behavioral and tough. They also emphasized safety a lot. The interview day was a 1-hour panel interview, a tour around the offices, and then a drug test. I really enjoyed the dinner with the early professionals the night before the interview.

  • Tell me about a time you saw someone acting unsafely and how you addressed it to change their behavior.
