After submitting my resume via email, the local coordinator set up a meeting with my direct bosses. Then, I had a video call with the two people in charge. The interview was pretty relaxed and friendly. They went over the job details and answered my questions. The whole thing took about 30 minutes.

First, I had a phone screen with the recruiter. Then, I went onsite for an interview with the hiring manager where we talked about technical stuff and how I'd fit in socially. After that, we toured the server room and I met with the server team lead. Interestingly, I found a security issue during that chat. The hiring manager made a weird comment about me being older than him, which was odd since I'm actually older. Then I had another interview with two different teams, essentially all the senior people in the department, followed by a meeting with the desktop support team to see if I'd be a good fit with them. The recruiter mentioned I was the only candidate, but they were actually interviewing two others. I was told they hired one of the other two, and I suspect that age comment might have been the reason.

So first there was a quick phone screen, and then they brought me in for the main interview. The first interview was with the head of the department. If they liked me and wanted to move forward, the second interview would be with the hiring manager I'd report to. After that, the Department Manager would give the final approval. The first interview was pretty tough; I left thinking they weren't impressed and I wouldn't get called back, but the few who do get that second chance usually means it's a good sign.

I applied then got an email to schedule a phone pre-screen a couple days later i had the test passed and scheduled an interview. A week later i went for the interview with the head of my department, the person who will technically be my boss. She was really nice and asked some questions in regards to the job criteria.
