& Process

The interview was in person at Nemour's headquarters in Jacksonville, in a c-suite conference room. The manager and one engineer were present in person, while another engineer joined virtually on a big screen, which disrupted the interview flow. The manager seemed distracted with other work on his computer. They ended up not hiring anyone from the interviews, and the job was reposted soon after. It appears their expectations might be too high, considering a senior engineer had no prior relevant experience and also no healthcare experience. They didn't send any follow-up communication after rejection, which is a basic courtesy. Given this and the lack of hires, they essentially wasted everyone's time. I guess it's a blessing in disguise. I doubt it's a healthy work environment.

It was a virtual interview where I met with two people. They asked me a few questions about my background and experience.

I got an interview request after I submitted an assessment about identifying trends in website data over 3 years. It wasn't super hard. The interview itself wasn't too tough either, but the interviewer made wrong assumptions about my experience even though it was right there on my resume and I talked about it during the interview. Things went downhill from there because of their tone. I asked if they had any feedback on my assessment to clear up any confusion they had, and I quickly realized they hadn't even looked at it. I'm not sure why they had me do it if no one reviewed it. Seems like a waste of time based on how they responded. I then figured out that everything's automated and nobody looked at any of my submissions.

The process was insane. 5 interviews in total and never spoke with a recruiter until the very end. Was given a very lowballed offer (most companies pay upward of $20k more than they were offering) and I would have been able to tell them my salary expectations but they never asked. The interviews felt excessive, unprepared and unprofessional. One of the interviewers was quite rude. The benefits seem also substandard for the amount they talked about caring about employees. They gave me the offer to which I explained I would need a standard few days to review with my family as this was a big pay cut that they never told me about but within hours of getting the offer, I had multiple of the interviewers calling and texting me and the recruiter as well despite saying I needed a few days and have an extremely busy work schedule which they seemed to understand… I’m gladly not choosing to work here because between the interviews being super unprofessional, not having a true phone screen to discuss salary, them requiring me to fly to another state to get a computer instead of them shipping it to me and then getting harassed by the hiring manager/her direct report and the recruiter… I’m all set.
