Copywriter
The hiring process was well-organized from the start. I had interviews with HR and the hiring manager, which helped me get a better understanding of the company culture and the professional profile they were looking for in this role. During the conversations, it became clear how the position was conceived, what the responsibilities would be, and what the expectations were. The interviews were direct but also open to discussion.
- How do you handle short deadlines?
SEO Manager
Interviews were in early December 2024 and were a positive experience. The interviews weren't hard and everyone I met was really nice, from the recruiter to the hiring manager to the team. But, after what I thought was the final interview, they totally ghosted me. I emailed them about four days after the last interview and again right after the new year, but no response. It was really disappointing because the interviews had been good, and I would've been okay with even a simple rejection email. It's nice to have some closure.
- Considering your prior SEO experience, how would it contribute to your success as a manager in this specific position?
Director of Paid Media
I applied for the job in late October 2024, and the first contact happened in early November for a quick chat. It took about three months to get through four rounds of interviews, and I made it to the final part. But then, I didn't hear anything back until I reached out myself. This happened after every interview stage, I always had to chase for updates. It also seemed like they weren't talking to each other because each person I met didn't know what we had already discussed, which made the whole thing feel kind of messy.
- Given this scenario, what actions would you take?
- Can you share an example of a situation you encountered and how you managed it?
- Provide an instance of a difficult project you managed and your approach.
Paid Media Specialist
First, HR will chat about your general experience and check if you align with the job description, specifically your knowledge of Google Ads & FB Ads and your experience with them. Next, the Group Head of the Performance Marketing team will dive into technical stuff, asking about the budget you've handled, metrics for sales campaigns, and your optimization tactics. If you nail that, you'll get an assignment to create a detailed performance marketing strategy for a brand or client. If they like your assignment, you'll meet with the VP of Performance Marketing to discuss culture fit and your working style. That's it. If you pass everything, HR will get in touch about salary expectations and negotiation.
- Can you tell me about the budget you've managed?
- What metrics do you focus on for campaigns aimed at sales?
- What are your strategies for optimizing campaigns?
