First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Neighborhood Legal Services.
Paralegal
The interview was a panel. The staff were really nice and made me feel welcome. Depending on the department, people are generally kind. The pay is quite low though, especially when you compare it to other non-profit law firms.
- Tell me about a challenging client interaction and how you handled it.
Accountant
It was a good interview experience overall. I had two interviews, one with a manager and one with an executive. They both asked thorough and friendly questions.
- Tell me about your experience with grant compliance.
Advocate
Had a remote interview with some coworkers and the manager. It was a chill chat, not like an interrogation at all. It felt more like a good way to see if we'd be a good fit, rather than a stressful interview.
- Can you describe your experience working with trauma?
