NACA seems to have phantom job openings. They frequently hold online job fairs. To apply, you have to write an essay that takes hours. I got an email a few days later saying I was invited to an online interview on Zoom. Two days before the interview, I got another link for an assessment that was also live on Zoom during work hours. The interview lasted 3 hours, though most of that time was spent waiting for an interviewer. The person I interviewed with didn't have my resume or any questions to assess my skills. After a 5-minute chat, they said they'd send me to a manager for a second interview, but the manager wasn't available and I was supposed to be scheduled for a later date. Two weeks later, I got an email on a Sunday night saying they'd moved on with another candidate. It felt like a tacky way to conduct job interviews.

I applied online and it was a very time consuming and detailed application. I followed up and got an email suggesting I'd have a better chance of being hired if I volunteered for them. A few months later, they called me for an interview. I had a phone interview with a Regional Manager who couldn't answer basic questions about benefits and training. They sent an offer via email referencing their compensation plan but without specifics on benefits or reimbursement for expected education. I asked for these details and never heard back. After 4 days, and after reading many negative reviews on Glassdoor and complaints on the BBB website, I declined the offer. Over a week later, they mailed the same offer letter. It was very disorganized. Every email I received from them arrived three times, suggesting issues with their email system, which makes me wary of their other software systems.

It was a job fair for NACA (foreclosure prevention). I got there at 8:30 and waited about an hour with about 2500 other applicants. We first saw a movie about the company and then Bruce Marks, the founder, spoke briefly about the company and how and why he started it. Then we moved as a group to another room and waited about another hour for a one on one interview. I then left the building and received a phonecall about an hour later to come in for another interview later that same day. I came back at 4:30. This interview was a panel interview of about 10 people by 10 people from NACA. The interview lasted about an hour and a half before Mr Marks had to catch a plane and leave very quickly. I didn't get the job but I wish I had. The people really seemed to enjoy working with each other and to also enjoy what they did. I didn't meet anyone that I felt was unfriendly or unprofessional. There was a very diverse group of people running the show and they all worked well together interviewing and questioning people to start the Charlotte office of NACA.

The interview process consists of several stages including an initial phone screening, a virtual team interview, a shadow session involving live workflow observation, and a final leadership interview. Candidates who reach the final stage are informed that if selected, they must surrender any active professional licenses that may create a conflict of interest prior to employment. It is important for applicants to be aware of this requirement early in the process so they can make informed decisions.
