First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nectar Communications.
Vice President
I found the interview process disheartening. After four rounds with senior executives, I was ghosted. Initially considered for a VP role, they later suggested I'd be a better fit for a Director position, which I was open to. A tip for interviewees: watch out for red flags like having to chase recruiters for updates or late-night contact, which might hint at the workplace culture.
- Describe your plan for your first day on the job.
Account Executive
The interview was easy and the interviewer was really engaging and made me interested in the firm. Sadly, they ghosted me after the first interview. I reached out twice and heard nothing back. It's frustrating when companies interview people without any intention of following up – even an automated rejection would be better.
- What about the firm caught your attention?
- Can you explain how your experience fits with the requirements of this position?
Operations
Quick interview process. The hiring manager was not engaging and used "I" and "me" more than "we." She talked about herself and what she wanted more than what was necessary. After meeting with her for 5 minutes, I lost all interest in the role and ended the process. Definitely unfortunate because the company and culture seemed fantastic.
- Can you introduce yourself?
SAE
Really thorough interview process. I met with many people from different levels and teams to understand how they work. The partners back then made sure to interview every candidate at the final stage.
- What are you seeking in your next position?
- Describe your mentoring abilities.
- How do you handle management responsibilities?
