4 one on one interviews with directors, lasted 30-45 minutes each. These interviews were conducted both on Teams and in person at the Mansfield office. It was not that challenging. I got an offer several weeks later. The process was slow.

So, first up was an HR screening, then I chatted with the hiring manager. We talked about what I'm looking for salary and benefits-wise. Then we went into how my previous experience fits with what they need for the role. Overall, it was a pretty smooth interview process.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

It was a really long and drawn out process. They had two sets of half-day interviews, spaced out about a week and a half apart. Then, another week and a half went by before I heard back. The people I interviewed with on day 1 were supervisors and managers from different departments. Day 2, it was higher-level folks, including the President. Everyone was really nice, and a couple of them even said something like, 'I can definitely see you joining us.' They originally said I'd hear about the second round the next week, but it ended up being the week after that. After the second round of interviews, which included going over benefits with HR, they told me I'd get an answer by Friday (it was a Tuesday then). But they didn't contact me until the following Tuesday to let me know they decided to go in a different direction. Two things really rubbed me the wrong way: First, two people (one from HR and an exec) asked if I was interviewing with other companies and how far along I was. I was honest and said yes, but I think that might have hurt my chances because they probably wanted to hear I was only focused on NEC. It's kind of wild to think a job seeker would only apply to one place, right? The exec also asked if I'd accept an offer if they made one. I said I'd need a day to think about it, but I'd love to consider it. Apparently, that wasn't the answer they were looking for. The second thing was when they emailed (didn't even call) to say they weren't offering me the job. I replied asking for feedback on what I could have done better or what I missed. I never heard back at all. It's not a great way to treat someone who was clearly a finalist, especially after meeting with almost 10 people and going through such a lengthy process. No feedback, nothing. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
