First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nebraska Medicine.
Administrative Assistant
It was an easy 2 step process, and I did both online. I was asked simple interview questions that could be answered online. It's best to highlight how you interact with others and follow instructions, and to make sure you have some customer service experience.
- Can you describe a time you had to work with someone you didn't get along with and how you handled it?
Research Assistant
I got an email inviting me to a Zoom interview. It was a 30-minute chat and it was pretty cool. The people I met were nice and friendly. They asked me about my past experiences and then asked some follow-up questions based on what I told them.
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with this organization?
Patient Coordinator
The interview process was quick, going from the first phone call to the in-person interview and then the job offer all within 3 days. I've done this job before and I liked how they updated the title and some of the duties. I ended up declining the offer because they offered me less money than I stated initially. They were almost $1/hour less than my initial pay expectations. I get that labor is costly and I wouldn't have wasted anyone's time if I knew my pay requirements wouldn't be met.
- Can you share an example of a past learning challenge and how you successfully navigated it?
App Analyst
The recruiter was responsive and friendly. The interviewers were also nice and made it easy to get to know me and what I was interested in. The manager was straightforward. The whole process was pretty good. There were at least two interview panels, and I met with peers, leads, and other managers.
- Does your background align with our company values?
- In what ways do your existing skills complement this position?
- Can you share an example of how you've embodied our core values?
