After applying, I was contacted by the recruiter, which felt positive. The process was fast, as they said it would be. They knew I was interviewing elsewhere. I spoke with two senior designers. They didn't seem very collaborative or open-minded, coming across as cold and opinionated. I'm not pleased with how I was treated, especially with HR ghosting me. I'll update if I hear back.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a positive call with the HR manager. The next step was an interview with the VP Americas & Asia, who is the hiring manager for this role. This VP was very arrogant and disrespectful throughout the interview. The questions asked didn't match the job description, focusing on freight forwarding and export analysis, which the VP admitted wasn't a core part of the job but wanted someone to handle it. The VP also asked for salary history, which is illegal in California, and got defensive when I declined to provide it, saying I needed to get used to it. Based on this and other reviews, I don't recommend this company.

Technical Technical

This role is for candidates with a strong interest in robotics and robotic systems. I just had my first technical interview with the Director of Software Engineering. They asked me about my AI experience, my past projects, and the AI techniques I've applied. I was also asked to explain SLAM (specifically particle SLAM) and fuzzy logic. The interviewer mentioned that the job description is a bit outdated and they're now seeking individuals who can fully concentrate on robotics. A follow-up interview is planned to assess my knowledge of Algorithms and Mathematics.

I had a phone interview that lasted about 30 minutes. We talked a lot about my background and what I've done. They asked me some technical questions, but they were all based on my actual work experience, nothing theoretical. The interviewer was really nice and professional, and seemed genuinely interested in me as a candidate. I felt pretty at ease during the whole thing.
