Director of Communications
The interview process for this role was a bit unusual. I didn't speak with anyone from the organization directly. Instead, I worked with a recruiter who initially interviewed me for a different job. After I was rejected for that one, she brought this position to my attention. The main part of the application was a writing exercise where I was given a hypothetical situation and had to create several written pieces in the style of the organization. After I was turned down, the recruiter shared the feedback: they felt one part of my writing wasn't developed enough. I think this was a balance issue on my end, as I didn't want to overwork on an uncompensated task, but I also felt I met the requirements. My feeling is that the instructions were too vague, and if they wanted more detail, they should have specified it. They essentially faulted me for not providing something they never clearly asked for.

Accounting Assistant
I applied online and a few days later, I got an interview request. I interviewed with the Associate Director of Finance, and then a few days after that, I interviewed with the Director of Finance. The Director of Finance said they'd let me know about their decision but I never heard back, even after I sent a follow-up email.
- Can you start by telling us about yourself?
- Could you list the accounting software you have experience with?
Regional Director
I applied online and they got in touch within two days to set up an interview. It was online, but one person dropped off Zoom, and the other didn't make eye contact. I felt like they were rushing me, maybe they already picked someone else. I didn't hear back for a whole month even though I followed up. They also posted the job again and extended the deadline. It was all really unclear, so I wasn't shocked when I didn't get a second interview after four weeks.
