So I started with a phone interview, and then about a week later, I had a second interview that went really well. It was about 45 minutes, and they showed me around the building. Another week went by, and I got an offer, which I accepted. Then it took another two weeks to get all the paperwork done before I could start. So, it took about a month total to get through the hiring process. I found out later that NCI's hiring process can take a long time, sometimes weeks, so candidates should be ready for that.

First I had a call with HR for a screening. Then I had three interviews with the hiring manager: one interview, then a plant tour, and a final interview with plant operations/HR. They told me at the last meeting that I would get an offer and that I had 10 days to respond before the hiring manager left for vacation. HR called to confirm an offer was coming. A week later, I got an email saying the hiring manager's supervisor didn't approve the offer. It took about 6 weeks from when I applied until that final email. It was a lot of work and not all the people who made the decision were part of the interviews.

I sent in an online application and was immediately directed to a testing area, with instructions not to leave the building if I passed. Apparently, they have issues with candidates passing. I began the test around 11 am, passed, and went straight into the interview. The interviewer was polite and mostly asked questions about my resume. We then took a tour that concluded around 3:40 pm. He expressed that he was very pleased with our conversation and found it quite enjoyable. I had applied for a welding position as that was the only opening, but by the end, he suggested he'd prefer me as a supervisor. He was attentive and acknowledged my expertise. Overall, a great interviewer.

I applied online and got a call within 3 days. The General Manager initially wanted to interview me for Sales Manager, but suggested Territory Manager, which I accepted. The interview was about an hour, and included a plant tour. I followed up a week later, and was told they were in budget meetings and a decision would take 3-4 weeks. I'm still being considered. Subsequent attempts to reach the GM by email and phone went unanswered, which I found unprofessional.
