NCG CINEMAS Interview Questions
& Process

The interview process was short, lasting about 30 minutes and conducted by the manager. It wasn't tough and mainly involved basic behavioral questions that were straightforward to answer. After the interview, I was extended an offer along with a start date.

The theater was being renovated and the company hosted a hiring event. Anyone could walk in and many people applied. I filled out an application and completed an easy math test to see if I was competent enough to work for NCG. Then, I was directed to another person for an interview. I was interviewed by a manager from another location. He asked me very basic questions like my hobbies, why I want to work for NCG, and about my volunteer experience since I had no previous work experience. He also asked me behavioral questions, such as what I would do if I encountered a rude customer. The interview was very easy. He mentioned that many people applied and that they would contact me in a few weeks if I got the job. I was contacted in about two weeks by another manager who told me I got the job.

I sent in my application and then got a call a bit later about coming in for an interview. When I arrived, I had to take a simple math test before sitting down for the actual interview. It was my very first interview, and it felt okay. The person interviewing me asked about my availability and other standard questions like why I wanted the job. They mentioned that there were 15 people interviewing and they were only hiring 3. I didn't get a call back, which I figure is because I've never worked before and don't have any experience. Still, I thought it was a good interview.

Applied online and got a call a couple days later for an interview. The interview was super easy, maybe too easy. It was in the main lobby (though I learned that's not typical for my location). They asked standard interview questions like, "If your friends had 3 words to describe you, what would they say?". A weird question for me was "What Skyrim race do you play as?". I guess you could maybe tell a bit about someone's personality from their answer, but it's maybe not the most professional question. I realized again that this isn't a standard question for my location; it was specific to the manager.
