First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NBOME.
Test Development Engineer
The interview process was pretty straightforward and relaxed. I met with a few teams I'd be working with, and also the managers. They showed me around the office, which is pretty nice. I also got to look at some materials about their business.
- What makes you interested in this opportunity?
- Describe a situation where you had to prioritize your tasks.
Research Associate
I had a phone interview with HR first, and then a video interview with three team members. They were really nice, which made me feel less nervous. Afterwards, they let me ask them some questions and they told me about their company. This was my first interview, and I didn't answer some parts of the questions very well.
- Can you tell me about your behavior?
- Can you tell me about parts of your projects?
Executive Assistant
The interview process was very thorough. All the staff members involved in interviewing were very easy to talk to and personable. I didn't get to the second stage, but I'm still hopeful to apply again when new openings come up. I found the organization really interesting and would like another chance to interview for the same or a similar position.
- Tell me about your past experience and how it can help our organization.
- How can your career experiences benefit this organization?
Editor
The hiring journey kicks off with a chat with a recruiter. After that, there's an editing test, and then a final chat that could be in person or over video. It's all pretty laid-back and easygoing.
- The recruiter, who was super relaxed, asked about my background in managing time.
- She also asked about my experience presenting information to groups.
- We discussed my writing style.
