Assistant Professor
The process involved a campus visit where I had meetings with the search committee. I also gave a teaching demonstration. Additionally, I had lunch with students, took a campus tour, and met with the provost. The interviews focused on understanding the community here and showing how good my teaching is.
- What strategies would you employ if you found yourself in disagreement with colleagues about curriculum matters?
Audio Engineer
The interview process was quite comprehensive, starting with initial conversations and concluding with a campus tour. It was a few hours long and included an extended tour of the facilities. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the conversation was pleasant. The supervisor and department manager were both present during the process.
- Could you describe your understanding of effective leadership?
Corps Member
First we had a simple zoom call, then an in-person interview, and expected background checks as usual. They asked normal questions about what I'm looking for in a job, if I have goals and a plan to move up the ladder or further my education.
- Describe a time you reacted to and solved an issue while under pressure.
Student Success Coordinator
The first part of the interview process was with an HR rep who didn't know much about the job. Then, the second interview was with the manager for the position.
- Describe a time you encountered a challenge or conflict at work and explain how you handled it.
