First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Navigant Credit Union.
Member Service Representative
It was a three step process and everyone was super friendly. The first stage involved questions about my resume and work history, followed by more questions about my personality and behavior. Overall, it was a positive experience. I'd definitely recommend it.
- What are your thoughts on the company?
- How do you envision your future at Navigant and what are your aspirations?
Bank Teller
I had two interviews at two different branches, each in a meeting room. The first interview was 30 minutes and the second was an hour. We mostly chatted about my background and aspirations. They asked questions, but it felt more like a conversation to see if we were a good fit. After the second interview, they sent an email to start background checks, including state and federal criminal record checks, employment verification, and a credit report. I'm waiting for those results and hope to get an offer if everything checks out.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience as shown on your resume?
- Can you tell me more about yourself as a person?
- What are your aspirations and goals in life?
Network Administrator
I applied and had a phone screen with HR, then an in-person technical interview. The interview was conducted by the new manager, someone higher up, and HR. They were running late and had trouble finding a room. The job ended up not being a good fit because it seemed like more of an advanced help desk role rather than a true IT operations job. The salary offered was also quite low, between 60k-70k.
- What are your methods for staying updated with the latest technological advancements?
- Can you describe the process of a 3-way handshake?
Teller
There were two interviews in total. The first one was at the branch, and the second one was at corporate. It was a normal interview process, like most places. Some of the questions were basic, covering sales and customer service. It's important to be comfortable with sales for this role.
- What motivates your interest in working for a bank?
- Could you share a characteristic that a friend would describe you with?
