First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Navan.
Account Executive
Got a recruiter call who was super enthusiastic about the role and my background. The process involved an informal first interview, then a formal one, followed by a panel interview and a challenge presentation. The first interview with the manager was odd, mostly focused on "vibe fit" rather than qualifications. In this sales role interview, when I tried to close and ask about next steps or any concerns, I got no feedback. The recruiter also said Navan doesn't give feedback, which feels wrong and disrespectful.
- Can you tell me about yourself and what drives you?
Account Executive
The interview process with TripActions was really impressive. It was well-organized, informative, and professional. Even though the timing wasn't right for me in the end, I had a really positive experience with the process, the leaders I spoke with, and my recruiter, Lynnea.
- Can you share details about your sales process and methodology?
- What have been some of your previous sales successes?
Account Executive
This was the worst recruiting experience I've ever had. The recruiter lacked empathy, was late, kept interrupting me, and didn't listen. After only 5 minutes, they dismissed me, stating the sales team wouldn't accept me, without providing any feedback or solutions. It felt like they had already decided to disqualify me before the call even started. Why schedule it then?
