First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Naval Sea Systems Command.
Software Engineer
I had 3 phone calls. One was with HR and the other two were with the hiring manager. They mostly asked me about stuff on my resume.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Software Engineer
I signed up for the interview via my college's career website. The recruiter mentioned they primarily hire from Hawaii but do recruit out-of-state for open positions. The overall interview was quite simple. The interviewer was more interested in my problem-solving skills than my resume. I found him to be very friendly and felt at ease.
- How would you tackle a problem you had never seen before?
Software Engineer
Waste of time! They called in a bunch of people for interviews and no one got an offer. It was a day-long interview and it took them forever to get back to you on their decision. On top of that the pay is really low.
- Could you describe how you would design software for a traffic intersection?
