Product Owner
I did a phone screening with the recruiter first. Then, I talked to the manager I would report to. After that, there was a group interview with 3 people from the team I would join. The whole thing was pretty straightforward with the questions asked.
- What's your approach to teamwork?
- Can you describe your experience with agile methodologies?
Click-to-Chat Representative
Applied online and got a phone call from HR within a couple days for a phone screen. The phone screen was straightforward, covering the job and company, and checking basic qualifications and interest. Hours were discussed but not pay. The next week, I went in for a panel interview with supervisors and managers. I had to take a typing and grammar test, then answered typical interview questions. They also gave me time to ask questions. The following week, I had a third interview with their program supervisor and two managers, focusing on position-specific questions. It was short, about 20 minutes. Overall, it was a good experience. Unfortunately, they emailed the next week saying I wasn't moving forward.

Operations Role
I had a standard HR phone screen first. Then, there were more phone interviews at different levels, even with a VP. After that, they flew me to Vancouver for a day of on-site interviews with people I'd be working with daily. Then... nothing. Complete silence. This is pretty common in the Portland/Vancouver area though, they can be flaky. My take is they weren't really looking for people who could think critically or solve problems, at least not under the current manager. That might be why the job has been open for six months.
- Can you provide examples of how you would address potential issues or scenarios that could occur in this position?
- Describe a situation you might face in this role and how you would approach it.
- How would you respond to a problem that comes up based on your understanding of the role?
Strategic Account Specialist
The interview process started off really well with great communication and people who knew a lot about the company and the job. It went from emails to a phone call, and then I interviewed with several people in the department. They actually referred me to a different job that was more challenging and supposedly closer to what I wanted salary-wise and skill-wise. I got to the last stage of choosing, but then they just ghosted me. It was pretty weird since we talked four times, and each chat was about an hour long. I followed up a bunch to show I was still interested, and they kept saying they were figuring things out and I'd hear back soon, like the next day. But I never did. After a few tries, I gave up. It was super disappointing to put in so much time and then get no response at all. Up to that point, it was a good process, but not even a simple email saying they went with someone else is just bad manners.
