First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Natus Medical.
Data Scientist
It was a chill 30 min HR chat, they asked me some stuff about myself and how I'd handle different situations, and also told me about the team, company vibe, and what the job is like, which was good for understanding what they're looking for.
- Could you describe how you'd communicate complex technical ideas to people who aren't from a technical background?
Technical Support Engineer
I had one interview with the technical support manager. It was pretty chill and lasted about 25 minutes. They asked me about my past experiences and some basic networking and customer relationship stuff. The whole thing took about 2 weeks from start to finish.
- Can you tell me about your previous experiences?
- What do you know about network protocols and their behavior?
- How do you handle customer relationships?
Research Scientist
It was a 3-stage interview process over a few weeks. Started with a recruiter chat, then a hiring manager chat, and finished with a technical interview with two team members. The hiring manager interview was a bit strange; they asked very specific, leading questions. They're looking for someone who can lead the company's direction with big ideas and is also highly technical, but the pay wasn't quite there for that level of responsibility. They made their decision pretty quickly, within a week after the last interview.
- How would you assess the effectiveness of a new medical technology?
Software Engineer
Had an initial chat with HR, then a screening call with the hiring manager. After that, there was a technical interview with a senior person, and finally, an interview with a senior leadership member. The interviews themselves were pretty straightforward, but honestly, nobody really made it clear what they were looking for in this position. The whole process was dragging on, and it felt like they weren't really ready for the interviews and were just winging it. They seemed pretty set in their ways, and it wasn't a great feeling talking to them, which is a bummer since they were all senior folks.
- Can you share your general thoughts regarding the position?
