First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Naturescape.
Service Coordinator
It was pretty easy. They called me pretty much right away for a quick phone interview. They then followed that up with an in person interview. After that, a drug screening.
- How do you deal with upset customers?
Regional Manager
We'll start with a phone interview, then move to an in-person meeting, followed by an interview with the vice president. After that, they'll compare how you did against other candidates. Finally, they'll figure out a salary and make you an offer.
- Can you share a time you made a significant mistake at work?
Lawn Specialist
The interview was with the regional manager, a pretty typical interview. We chatted about how I handle conflicts, my availability, and whether I'd done any sales before. The job involves selling services to customers while you're out doing applications.
- Have you ever been in a situation where you had to sell something?
- Can you tell me about a time you had to resolve a conflict?
- What are your working hours/availability like?
Administrative Assistant
The interview process felt really relaxed and friendly. I went in for 3 interviews in one week, and everyone at the location was super nice and seemed eager to hire. I was pretty much offered the job, just waiting on the drug screen and background check. The background check consent form was a bit intense, asking for permission to contact former employers about my performance, check my credit, and even talk to neighbors about my life. The background check showed a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge from 6 years ago, which didn't involve jail time. I thought I'd hear back sooner, but it actually worked out. On Friday, I did the drug screen, and that same week I interviewed for another job I liked more. The other company called the following Wednesday with an offer, which I accepted immediately. So, it was good I didn't hear from this company sooner because if they had offered me the job before I got the other one, I would have accepted it but then felt bad having to withdraw if I got my first choice. This company called on Thursday and said corporate rejected my application due to the disorderly conduct charge. I found it unprofessional that they didn't contact me to explain the charge, especially since it's a broad one and unrelated to the job, and I had successfully held other jobs since then. The manager did call to let me know the reason, which was nice. It all worked out for the best, as I got the job I wanted with better pay, benefits, and advancement opportunities. Just a heads-up for others applying here: they apparently want a completely clean record, and you won't get a chance to explain any past issues. I also learned there's not much room for advancement in this role. Plus, they mentioned that corporate sometimes monitors customer calls and might tell new employees to do or say something incorrect, even contradicting information already given to the customer, and pressure them to upsell services inappropriately. I'm okay with call monitoring for quality, but they should listen from the start, not jump in mid-conversation.
- Have you handled customers who were upset or had complaints before?
