First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NaturaLawn of America.
Marketing Director
Pretty straight forward interview process; applied via LinkedIn, heard back for initial screening interview and went into the corporate office for a final round interview. I also toured the offices in downtown Frederick.
- Can you discuss your experience with campaigns, strategies, and budget management?
Graphic Designer
The interviewer was nice and helpful. We had a good chat about the potential role for me. They also communicated well about the outcome. We had a get-to-know-each-other discussion.
- Tell me about a pet peeve you have.
Lawn Technician
First, I chatted with the operations manager on the phone. I answered a couple of easy questions about my background and if I was interested in the job. Then, he wanted me to come in for an in-person interview. I wore a blue dress shirt with dark pants and shoes, and the interviewer was dressed similarly. He asked me again about my work history and why I'd be a good fit. He stressed that the job involves a lot of outdoor work, regardless of the weather, and asked if I had prior outdoor work experience. I confirmed I did, and the interview stayed pretty relaxed as he told me a bit about the company's history and how they do things. The interview took around 25-30 minutes, and he contacted me with an offer two days later.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this company?
Field Technician
I applied via email with my resume and mentioned my major (Environmental Science) and graduation date. The Owner responded the next day, was very polite, and set up an interview with the Field Manager, who was down-to-earth and knowledgeable. The Field Manager called me the following day and said they both talked and wanted to offer me the Summer position.
- Can you explain what organic lawn care is and the reasons customers are interested in it?
