Sales Manager
Pretty quick after applying, I got a call and was told about next steps in about a week. It took two weeks of me reaching out to get a reply, and then another week before the job was put on hold for a bit. Then, only two days after it was reposted, I got a generic email from HR saying they were moving on with other candidates.
- Are you able to manage teams outside of your own department
Mechanical Drafter
I had a 15-minute call scheduled. They asked me two things: my salary expectations and about my experience with their software. I asked three questions: what the job entails, who I'd be working with, and if it's a family business. Their answers were brief and cold. The whole call lasted only 6 minutes. After that, they connected on LinkedIn and commented that you can teach software skills but not interpersonal ones. I'd seen bad reviews online, and this short chat seemed to confirm them.
- What is your experience with the main software program used here?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Could you describe my day-to-day responsibilities?
Electronic Engineering Technician
I arrived and first took a test. One of the interviewers was a bit rude, but the others were nice and welcoming. Then the hiring manager came in and we discussed the test. He was very polite and we chatted about the company, my life goals, and his career path. He was very down to earth and easy to talk to.
- What are your five-year career aspirations?
Category Manager
The interview process was okay, although I initially thought I was interviewing for a Category Manager role but ended up interviewing for a Customer Service position instead. I spoke with who would have been the hiring manager and someone from HR.
- What's your approach when a customer calls in with a complaint about their shipment?
