Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Intern
I applied online and about 3 weeks later, I had a phone interview. Then, 4 days after that, I met with 3 senior leaders. They offered me the position over the phone just 2 hours later. The interview process itself wasn't particularly remarkable. They seemed more focused on my interests and my motivation for wanting to join the organization.
- What motivated your desire to pursue a management role?
Intern
HR reached out about 2 weeks after I applied online. The first interview was with an HR manager with standard questions. Then, I interviewed with my potential team in the department. They were really nice and seemed genuinely interested in my experience, making me feel comfortable. I got the job offer about 2 weeks after that, and I accepted.
- Tell me about a challenging work experience you had to overcome.
Intern
I chatted with 5 different people in person, and each one talked about their job and then asked me questions. It was super disorganized, but it lasted about an hour.
- Can you tell me about your research experience?
