So Nationwide's hiring process usually starts with you submitting an application online, then you'll do some psychometric tests. After that, there's a video or phone interview, and then an assessment centre. The assessment centre has group tasks, presentations, and questions about your values and skills.

Coding Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online in October, submitting my CV and cover letter. Subsequently, I completed several online assessments: a Personality Assessment, an Inductive Logical Reasoning Skills Assessment, and a Verbal Reasoning Skills Assessment. A few days later, I had a 20-minute Telephone Interview focused on skills, which I felt went well. I was initially told I'd hear back within 7 days, but after two weeks of no response, I had to follow up. I was informed they were still finalizing decisions. In January, I was invited to an Assessment Centre at their head office in Swindon, which lasted 3-4 hours and included 5 candidates. The day began with an introduction, followed by an escape room exercise observed by hiring managers. Then, I had a challenging 45-minute 1-to-1 interview with my potential line manager, involving about 10-12 questions on ethics and morals. The final part was a 30-minute task to create a business plan using provided information, followed by a 10-minute pitch to a hiring manager, with a 5-minute Q&A. We were told to expect a response within 7 working days, but again, I had to chase it up after two weeks. In February, I received a call offering me the role. I declined due to concerns about the company culture, but I appreciated the opportunity.
