Standard protocol: meet with HR, then second/third interview with teams and main hiring manager. For the technical or IT PM roles insurance background wasn't absolute necessity, but is definitely a plus.

I was contacted by HR about half a week after I applied. An in-person interview was scheduled for a week later. Upon arrival, I checked in and waited to meet with an HR representative who then led me upstairs for the interview. I had a pretty casual one-on-one with a VP from the actuarial department, who would have been my direct manager. I felt really good about the interview and waited two weeks for a response, at which point I was informed that another candidate was selected for the role.

They asked thoughtful questions, indicating a genuine interest in finding a suitable engineer. The process was efficient with prompt feedback; however, I accepted a more competitive offer elsewhere.
