Digital Marketing Manager
The whole hiring process took quite a while. I got an invite to apply, and then got an email for a screening interview that was about 1.5 weeks away. The second interview was set for about 1.5 weeks after the screening, so that was 3 weeks in. The third interview was scheduled just a couple days after the second, and again, it was about 1.5 weeks later.

Optometric Technician
The interview process was pretty simple! I came into this job with zero experience and was able to pull from my transferable skills/experience during the interview easily. The conversation between me and the general manager was easy going, but some of the questions he asked were repetitive.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to work under high pressure?
Digital Optimization Manager
The interview process for the Digital Optimization Manager role was quite disappointing due to a perceived lack of respect from the digital marketing team. Although I arrived 10 minutes early, the hiring manager was not immediately available. The receptionist mentioned they might be late from lunch. Seven minutes past the scheduled time, a team member, who appeared disengaged, greeted me. The hiring manager offered no apology for their tardiness and barely stood to greet me. The first question asked was about my experience at my last position, which felt abrupt given the initial delays. I discussed various website issues and optimization strategies. Unfortunately, one interviewer seemed to be dozing off, and the hiring manager maintained a poker face throughout. I was unsure about the direction of the interview, with few technical questions and a clear lack of interest from two interviewers. I was ultimately rejected, with the stated reason being 'over communication of efforts at past roles.' However, I suspect the real reason was their technical inability to grasp the nuances of website optimization, as their understanding seemed limited to basic A/B testing of button colors, which I feel an intern could handle.

Email Marketing Lead
I got contacted by an internal recruiter on LinkedIn for this role. We set up a call to chat. She asked me a bunch of questions about my skills, what I'd accomplished, and the impact of my work. It turned out the salary offered was pretty low for the kind of results they were expecting. It was a pretty telling interview, really showed that their expectations and their pay didn't match up. The recruiter was also not very responsive, so I had to follow up several times before she finally told me they were going with another candidate.
