The interview process was pretty straightforward. When you get there, they want a full download of your work experience, so make sure you bring your resume and three references with their contact info and salary history. I chatted with the hiring manager who was curious about my interest in the 9/11 museum, what in my background fit the role, and then we just had an open back-and-forth. It wasn't super high-stress, but a good chance to make my case. Heads up though: as we talked, it became clear the role was more Operational than Program-focused, not quite what the ad said. It's good to check if your understanding of the job matches theirs before you go in, so you can tailor your thoughts and questions.

I applied for three jobs and the whole thing took about 3 months from applying to getting rejected for the last one. After applying online, the people I'd be working with reached out to me instead of HR, which was cool. The first interview was about 45 minutes with two managers. They said I'd hear back in a week, but it took about three weeks to hear that the first job I applied for was gone. Then they asked me to apply for two more jobs, which I did and got interviewed for. Again, the team was slow to respond or contact me when they said they would, which was really annoying. I didn't get an offer in the end, which is fine because I wasn't that impressed with their communication skills. They said staffing was a priority but took their sweet time. I get that most places don't even bother to say thanks but no thanks, but if you're going to do it, we'd appreciate it if you did it on time.

The interview process was quite lengthy and they didn't seem to respect my time. I spoke to 5+ people over 3 rounds of interviews. I took time off from my job to come to the office in person. Even though they said they'd get back to me the same week, I couldn't reach anyone for over 2 weeks after my last interview. The rejection email I received, for a final round interview, was a generic one-sentence email from someone I never met. Additionally, one of the HR interviewers was quite rude, aggressive, and uppity.

It took a very long time from when I applied for the job until I heard back from anyone at the organization. I also never heard back about a final decision for a few other positions I applied for. It felt pretty disorganized; I was talking to a recruiter a lot to try and set up a phone interview, then I had an interview for a position that I was maybe a little too qualified for, and then I never heard back. I tried emailing them a bunch of times but never got a response.
