The interview process was short, and they announced the result within a week. It wasn't very formal and mostly consisted of sales-related questions. They weren't interested in my GPA or academic achievements. It wasn't a tough interview.

Behavioral Presentation

Dress well and head into an office to have a chat with some senior brokers. They'll tell you this industry is simple and that you should listen to them and do exactly what they say to be successful. You should tell them you're willing, able, excited to learn, and ready for anything. You WILL be hired if you just don't act awkward. They want to give you this job, but you'll be working your rear-end off for little pay to give them million dollar accounts. Hopefully, down the road, you'll be in their seat doing the same to some other desperate kid.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The questions were standard and they are really just trying to get a feel for you being a hard worker who is willing to put in the 12 hours a day in order to generate accounts for them.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview started with me having to walk through my resume, talk about past projects and school stuff. Then, I was asked brain teaser questions, like what's the cost of doing business for oil companies. The questions were mainly to see if I follow the market and if I have a clear thought process.

After sending in my resume, I got a call from the firm to schedule my first interview. During that interview, they gave a very accurate description of the role. Then I had a second interview and got the job offer.
