Applied online and had an interview scheduled 3 business days later. They asked me to fill out an application prior to the interview, despite having already applied. The interview was an hour long with the Sr. position that would be the supervisor. Unfortunately, the position they listed was not at all what they were actually looking for. In comparison to the JD, I'm qualified but that isn't what they are actually looking for. The conversation was pleasant enough but I learned that they were looking for pretty big qualifications that were never listed in the JD. It was a negative experience because of the disconnect with the JD and what I was told they are actually looking for. The biggest red flag was that there was no communication after that, not even the automated HR "no thank you" email. The irony of it all is that in the following 4 months, I have been contacted by 3rd party recruiters that were looking to help NNA fill that position. All said the same thing "they thought I was greatly qualified" and wanted to send me over there.

So they interviewed me and I thought I did a pretty good job, honestly. But then I found out they didn't offer me the position. Apparently, I hesitated too long before answering one question, and I also missed a small detail they were looking for in another answer. They were kind of arrogant about it, too.

I had a brief portfolio review where they asked me about my experience with UI libraries and if I preferred UI or UX. The remote interview took about half an hour.
