First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at National HME.
Pcr
This was a two step process. The first interview was with basic questions and then the second interview was with the director. After those were completed, a job offer came later in the week. Good information about the job was given.
- Could you tell me what customer service means to you?
Customer Service Representative
I talked to the customer service manager for about 30 minutes. They asked me some basic questions about my past work. After that, they said they'd get in touch. I ended up calling them a few days later and they offered me the job, so I took it.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- For how long did you work at your last job?
- What were your duties in your previous role?
Customer Service Representative
I went in with one person who told me about the company. She was head over all the Customer Reps. She was in a hurry because she had a meeting. Then I met with the Customer Service Manager. She asked questions like 'Tell me a situation where you showed leadership' and things like that. She was very nice. Then I met the trainer for all the new employees and he asked if I had the experience. I met with some of my soon to be peers who also questioned me about my work ethics. It was a diffrent kind of interview, one that I thought was kind of ridiculous to do all in one day. Then I actually found out that your peers get to say if your hired or not. I just don't get it I guess.....
- Can you describe an instance where you did not feel you were giving your job your best effort?
Manager
The 1:1 interview was pretty much what I expected. I really wish they'd sent a follow-up email letting me know that the position was filled, just as a basic professional courtesy.
- Can you describe a challenging situation you faced in a previous management role?
